Information visit of 10 school principals from Poland with their German teachers on the subject of dual training.

10 school principals and 10 German teachers from Poland gained insights into the German vocational training system and were informed about modern didactic and pedagogical approaches in the vocational training institutions (schools and companies). There was particular interest in the mechatronics, electrical engineering and catering and hotel training courses. The information visit included a tailor-made visit to BS 19 Farmsen, STILL GmbH and BS 03 (gastronomy/hotel industry).

Information visit for university teachers from Shanghai on the subject of digitisation in vocational education.

20 professors of the Shanghai Open University were informed about the state of digitization in vocational education and training. The focus of the visit was therefore on practical application in schools and companies. For this purpose, BS 16 (automotive engineering) and the administrative service provider dataport with 3,000 employees were visited.

Information visit for CEOs of SMEs from Chengdu about the German Dual System using the example of training in metal professions. 

20 CEOs of SMEs from the Chengdu economic region gained an insight into the German vocational training system and learned about modern didactic and pedagogical approaches in vocational training institutions (schools and companies). The information visit included a visit to BS 04 (steel and mechanical engineering) and to Daimler's component production facility.

Training of educational experts in core areas of German Dual System

16 experts from 12 different countries participated in the first TVET Summer School from 09.-13. September in Hamburg. The objective of the TVET Summer School was to provide a comprehensive insight into the German dual vocational training system and to discuss the applicability of cooperative training programmes in the partner countries. The programme consisted of site visits to TVET authorities, institutions as well as companies and vocational schools being in charge of vocational education development and implementation in Hamburg.

Training of School leaders in core areas of school management and German Dual System

19 school principals from Don Bosco One TVET Schools (Philippines) were trained in different aspects of TVET delivery. Starting with insights into the German TVET system, topics as curriculum development, teacher training, modern didactical and pedagogical approaches as well as quality management in TVET schools were delivered. The two-weeks-training strongly focused on the transferability to the Philippine context and combined theoretical inputs with practical insights in TVET schools and related companies.
